These sintered porous metal filter discs are produced by compacting and sintering metal powder into a rigid network of interconnected pores. Available materials include 316L stainless steel, Hastelloy, Monel, Inconel and titanium, allowing material selection according to corrosion, temperature and process requirements. Diameter, thickness and pore size can be customized for filtration, flow restriction and equipment integration. Established porous-metal manufacturers similarly supply custom discs in 316L, Hastelloy, Monel and Inconel, with titanium also widely used in engineered porous-metal components.
Typical uses include liquid and gas filtration, flow control and equipment protection in chemical processing, petrochemical and refining systems, as well as selected food and beverage processing applications. Sintered powder metal provides controlled porosity, structural strength, chemical resistance and the ability to be cleaned and reused where the process permits. These characteristics make the discs suitable for industrial filtration solutions, OEM assemblies, process equipment and custom replacement components.
